Problems in the Selection of Sodium Hypochlorite Generator Equipment for Sewage Treatment

1.Choosing Equipment Should Be Adapted to the Enterprise's Production Process
The selection of equipment is closely related to future production, and being adapted to one's own production process is a fundamental requirement. Being pragmatic is a quality that those who work in equipment should possess. There are various models and specifications of equipment on the market, each with its specific application space and market share. Some are known for their functionality; others for cost-saving; some for efficiency; some for technological advancement; and some for low failure rates. The key to making equipment cost-effective and minimizing the failure rate of advanced equipment is to maximize its advantages under the existing conditions of the enterprise, in conjunction with the enterprise's own process, management level, supporting facilities, technical strength, and the skills of maintenance personnel. For example, some enterprises advocate large-scale equipment updates, choosing some large-scale equipment to improve production efficiency. However, the result is that the equipment is large, but the efficiency is contrary to expectations. The reason is that the large-scale equipment is a systematic project. If some bottlenecks in the process cannot be solved, and one talks about the large-scale of a certain type of equipment in isolation, it often leads to a situation where a big horse pulls a small cart, resulting in an increase in comprehensive costs, which is not worth it.
2.How to View Advanced Technology
Pursuing the advanced nature of equipment technology is a common goal for equipment managers and manufacturers. When selecting equipment, enterprises should combine the needs of their production development and the trends of domestic and foreign technological development to do some forward-looking work, to avoid choosing outdated models that will be eliminated, so as to avoid a series of problems such as difficulty in supplying spare parts in the future. While pursuing advanced technology, managers should first clarify the purpose and problems that need to be solved. The principles of value engineering should be used to divide the functions of the equipment, to determine which functions are necessary, which are redundant, and which are auxiliary. It should also be realized that when choosing a new technology, it is necessary to investigate whether it has good application performance in the same field or similar fields, whether it is a mature technology, and whether it has application prospects. No matter how mature any new technology is in theory and how advanced the design methods are, there will inevitably be some problems in industrial applications. In the future, as manufacturers improve these problems, the equipment of the enterprise will also change due to the changes in related sizes and parameters, which will reduce the commonality of parts and even be eliminated, causing great waste and bringing difficulties to future management. This risk must be objectively evaluated and taken seriously. Blindly choosing equipment and technology that has not been industrially tested with the spirit of "being the first to eat crabs" is not optimistic. For example, we chose a piece of equipment two years ago, which is the only one in the country, and it is still being operated at a high cost.
3.Choosing Equipment Should Fully Investigate the Equipment Manufacturers
No equipment, no manufacturer, can be perfect in design and manufacturing. Choosing a piece of equipment also means choosing a kind of service. Therefore, before choosing equipment, it is necessary to understand the manufacturer's technical research and development capabilities, business mechanisms, market strategies, manufacturing strength, and production and operation situation as much as possible. Some manufacturers, in order to occupy the market, often sell equipment at a low price, and then earn profits with high spare parts costs after the user purchases the equipment; some manufacturers are tentatively involved in some fields, and their own research and development strength is insufficient. When the industry outlook is not good or they lose in competition, they quickly withdraw from the industry; some enterprises themselves are in financial difficulties and poor financial condition. Once the situation continues to deteriorate, they will face the possibility of bankruptcy. Choosing the products of these enterprises will leave endless troubles for spare parts supply and product services. It is necessary to deeply understand the business behavior of these enterprises and find partners with integrity and potential.
4.Technical, Generality, Interchangeability, and Standardization of Equipment and Parts
When choosing equipment, it is necessary to maintain the generality of equipment parts and the interchangeability with existing equipment as much as possible, and to use standard parts as much as possible. In this way, not only can the management and procurement of spare parts be facilitated, but the constraints of manufacturers can also be effectively prevented. Although some imported equipment is also a well-known brand, the service level is often difficult to meet our expectations due to the small number of domestic sales. Because many common bolts, nuts, bearings, seals, etc., are mostly made according to the British standard, the generality is poor, leading to the fact that some very small spare parts have to rely on imports, and the procurement cycle of spare parts is relatively long, affecting production. To ensure production, enterprises have to increase the inventory, resulting in a large amount of funds being occupied.
5.Issues Related to Production and Use
The use of equipment is not isolated, and it is necessary to fully consider the matching issues of the equipment with the equipment and production process parameters before and after it in the production process. It is also necessary to consider the constraints of local natural resources, maintenance tools, repair level, local policies, transportation conditions, spare parts supply, and other factors.
Different enterprises have different needs when choosing equipment. Only the one that suits oneself is the best; only the equipment that one can control can play its due efficiency. Equipment selection is risky. Enterprises should establish a set of effective evaluation mechanisms and work procedures to effectively avoid various risks, in order to choose energy-saving, cost-effective, high-quality, and low comprehensive cost equipment, to increase competitiveness, and to lay a good foundation for the development of the enterprise.
