Description

Principle and Application of Salt-Free Electrolysis:

The principle of salt-free electrolysis involves using direct current voltage to electrolyze the treated medium in a specific area. Various substances in water undergo electrode reactions near the electrodes, producing microbial-killing substances such as negative oxygen ions, hydroxyl radicals, and active chlorine. These substances have oxidizing properties and react with impurities in water to affect water quality. The essence of disinfection is the combined effect of sterilizing substances generated during the electrochemical process and the direct electric field.

Comprehensive Applications of Salt-Free Electrolysis Devices:

● Treatment of high-concentration organic and heavy metal wastewater
● Secondary water supply treatment
● Drinking water treatment
● Aquaculture water treatment
● Swimming pool water treatment
● Rainwater and landscape water treatment
● Commercial process water

Introduction to Salt-Free Electrolysis Equipment:

Water undergoes micro-electrolysis reactions at the electrodes of the water treatment system, creating an electric field strength in the water far exceeding what microorganisms can adapt to through ion channels, leading to their death and achieving sterilization.
Micro-electrolysis generates reactive oxygen species in water, including H₂O₂, ·OH, and other highly oxidizing substances that damage cell membranes, penetrate into cells, and break the chain structure of organic matter, thereby killing microorganisms.
When water contains Cl⁻, in addition to micro-electrolysis reactions, the following reactions occur at the anode and cathode:
Anode reaction: 2Cl⁻ = Cl₂ + 2e⁻; Cl₂ + H₂O = HClO + HCl; HClO = H⁺ + ClO⁻
Cathode reaction: Mⁿ⁺ + ne⁻ = M (Mⁿ⁺ is a metal ion or hydrogen ion, and M is a metal or hydrogen)
Chlorine, hypochlorite, and other substances generated during the electrochemical oxidation process can effectively and continuously disinfect water.
Based on this, Saiyi has independently developed the ME series salt-free sodium hypochlorite generators, primarily used for disinfection of secondary water tanks.
